Judas Kiss though has a couple pretty sweet songs, I’ve been playing and listening quite a bit after the movie.
JUDAS KISS MOVIE MOVIE
Another movie from The List I can mention for it’s music is Between Love & Goodbye. (Do I even have to mention that they are absolutely beautiful too?) Well done boys, I’ll be looking forward some more of your work. He sure has come a long way from his time on Spangas as Nelson. Sean-Paul Lockhart did a great job too and Timo Descamps did a fab job. Richard Harmon was really good, honestly. Charlie David plays Zachary Wells, Richard Harmon plays Danny Reyes, Sean-Paul Lockhart plays Chris Wachowsky and Timo Descamps plays Shane Lyons. For once, I can’t complain about the acting. The acting, filming and the screenplay are quite good in this movie. But there is also another boy, Chris Wachowsky, who is genuinely falling for Danny and is so sweet and cute and just perfect. Shane is from a wealthy family and promises Danny things he couldn’t afford on his own. He is only interested in Danny, because of his film Judas Kiss, which is a favourite in the contest. Shane is arrogant, selfish, powerful and determined. It’s a good story.ĭanny falls for the bad boy on campus, Shane Lyons. The film is a story about changing your past in order to change your future and about getting another chance. He has, however, cheated as he has written the screenplay for the film already in high school, which is not allowed in the contest. The movie has some romance in it too, but it’s not all about relationships. Danny is participating in a film contest with a short movie called Judas Kiss. The young Zach is called Danny Reyes which is Zach’s real name. He meets his younger-self and also his older-self.

He goes back to his old university and something strange happens with time and space as he’s offered a chance to change his past. Movies Similar to Judas Kiss: Three Way (2004), Bad Company (1995), Mulholland Falls (1996), Derailed (2005), The Box (2007), City of Ghosts (2002). Judas Kiss is about this filmmaker called Zachary Wells. I’d seen the trailer and some pictures from the movie a while back already, and I was super exited to finally see it. A little more thought put into the script might have helped make the film seem a little less throw-away.Last week I watched a brand new movie from The List called Judas Kiss. Though competently directed and acted (bar a few dozen too many pouts), Judas Kiss feels like an aggressively extended episode of Dawson's Creek or The OC, with vague sci-fi intentions smushed into the gaps between the drama. Sadder still, the tacked-on nature of Judas Kiss' sci-fi element leads to it becoming a point of embarrassment, with Zach's inability to recognise himself as a kid and subsequent self-sexual liaison going completely unexamined by the film's characters. On paper, this strange blend of sci-fi and drama has all the potential to engage and provoke, though sadly here it is used only as the backdrop to worn and tedious sub-plots of teen love triangles, saccharine heart-to-hearts and cheesy, over-earnest confrontations. These revelations are provided by a frumpy ex-teacher of Zach's and a white-bearded old man, who's prescience gives the viewer the odd feeling he might be God (or Santa). Through another quirk of fate, he finds himself judging a young man who shares his name and who has submitted the very film he won the competition for all those years ago (a film titled, you guessed it, Judas Kiss).Īfter a one-night-stand with said young man, Zach discovers that the boy is in fact himself from the past and that he has been sent to judge the competition as a means of preventing his earlier self from making the same mistakes he has. In Judas Kiss, a new film now playing the festival circuit, a washed-up filmmaker named Zachary (Charlie David) is talked into judging the student film festival where, 15 years previously, a movie. Zachary Wells is a washed-up film director and previous winner of the Keystone film festival's top directing prize, which through a quirk of fate he has been asked to judge 15 years later on. Oh, and it's also about the consequences of having sex with a younger version of yourself in order to finally realise what a moping, head-strong little shit you were back then. Judas Kiss, directed by JT Tepnapa, is an American-teen-drama-sci-fi film about past failures and the chance to change the future.
